This Privacy Policy describes how Eternity Bible ("the App," "We," "Us," or "Our") collects, uses, and discloses information from users of the App.
We are committed to minimizing the personal data we collect. Our core principle is to not require or solicit Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from our users to operate the core functions of the App.
Account/Authentication
User ID, hashed password (if using password auth), or token/ID from external provider (e.g., email address if required by our third party Auth provider for unique identification).
Collected directly by our third party auth provider to create and secure your user account and allow you to log in to the App.
Non-PII User Content
Reading settings (e.g., font size, preferred translation code), custom names you provide for your saved Bibles, reading positions, highlights, favorites, and notes.
Collected by Us to save your personalized App experience and settings across devices.
Usage Data/Logs
IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent, and potentially a non-PII device identifier (if installed via an App Store).
Standard web/App Store services to maintain security, monitor functionality, and measure aggregated, non-specific performance and analytics.
App Store Data
Please note that App Store providers (Apple, Google) collect their own crash logs, usage data, and device information related to the download and usage of the mobile application. This collection is governed by their respective privacy policies, not ours.
For platform operation and distribution.
Crucially: We do not require your real name, physical address, date of birth, phone number, or other traditional PII.
a. Immediate Account Deletion:
You have the right to delete your account at any time. This action can be performed directly within the App's account settings and is irreversible.
b. Effect of Deletion:
When you initiate account deletion, your account and all associated content, including your saved Bibles, reading settings, highlights, favorites, and notes, are permanently and immediately deleted from our database. We aim to process all related data deletion within 30-60 days of your request. Log data (IP address, usage history) may be retained for a limited time for security and auditing purposes before being permanently deleted or anonymized.
c. Locally Stored Content:
Some content is stored only in your browser or device storage and is never sent to Us, including your recent searches and any content you create while signed out. Because we never receive this content, we cannot restore it for you. It is removed when you clear your browser or application data, uninstall the App, or sign out on that device.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information transmitted to and stored by the App. However, no electronic storage or transmission method is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We also do not guarantee that content you save will be preserved or recoverable; please see the Content Storage, Backup, and Loss section of our Terms of Service.
The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect PII from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with data, you may contact us.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
